The 40170 ball head is the most compact ball head in the Cullmann Magnesit range. Build quality, function and controls are the same as the larger versions. Designed for use with DSLRs and lightweight medium format cameras. The head has both 1/4" and 3/8" screw connections available via a reversible ball platform. A quick release platform can be added to the head if needed (quick release platforms are sold separately, please see our other items). This is a very well made ball and socket head that competes well with more expensive heads from the likes of Manfrotto and Giottos etc. Designed for frequent use and built to last.

The Cullmann Magnesit 40170's rubberised knurled adjustment knobs are used operate all functions including the ball lock function for +/- 90 degree angles and an adjustable panorama lock with 360 degree scale.
