Optical Slave Trigger. This useful device enables you to remotely trigger your flashgun without cables. Simply connect the unit to the hotshoe on your flashgun. When the unit detects a flash firing it sends a signal to the flashgun so that it fires at the same time. As an example, you can mount your flashgun with this unit on a tripod a few metres from your subject. When you take a photograph using the built in flash on your camera your flashgun will fire at the exact same moment to give more light or additional lighting effects. This optical slave unit also has a male sync socket so you can connect it to other devices using a standard flash cable if required. It also has a tripod mounting thread on the base. The best part is that it does not require any batteries!  

IMPORTANT: This unit is NOT compatible with the Nikon SB-400 and many flashguns dedicated to the Canon EOS system.
